I read online that this error is most likely cause by a driver issue. Can someone help me identify the source from the mini dump? When the BSOD show up, it doesn't have any driver listed. It also just start doing that recently. The BSOD will happen randomly, the two time it crashed today, one is when computer is just sitting at idle, the other time is web browsing. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ao-69a8G5l3o1VVaq11LPzC6M8V8

    Hi Sai,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

The minidump file only indicated "ucx01000.sys". It is USB Controller Extension which is a system file driver.

Since it's a system file it means something else drove it into a fault.

Can you share other minidump files that you have?

Also, what are the USB devices connected except for the mouse and keyboard?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I will suggest that you temporarily uninstall and disconnect the USB devices that you mentioned above. See if you will still receive BSOD while these USB devices are not present.

If that didn't help to help to isolate the issue, try to run Driver Verifier to find any misbehaving, corrupted, or outdated driver.

Follow the instructions from this article.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5470-enable...

    Reminders:

=> Disable Driver Verifier after 48 hours or after receiving a BSOD.

=> Create a Restore Point before running Driver Verifier.

Share the minidump file once you receive a BSOD error.

I tried the settings you provided and it doesn't seems to help. I have a few additional crashes since the change. The strange part is that some of the crashes is just a straight "reboot", and some with the BSOD. None of the crash generate additional minidump files.

When I check the event viewer, I see the error "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation."

    HI,

The minidump file still points to "ucx01000.sys". The problem might be really related to one of the USB devices.

Can you try to change the Power Management settings of the USB device drivers?

Open Device Manager > click Universal Serial Bus controllers > right-click USB driver > click Properties > click Power Management tab > uncheck, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" > click 'OK'.

    > Repeat steps to other USB device drivers.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

Here is the second mini dump

    https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ao-69a8G5l3o1VYqSJtlVbpU5mKJ?e=2z32cV

I believe it has the same driver listed.

For USB devices, I have a Logitech G560 speaker, Logitech 920 webcam, Kingston multi-reader, cyberpower UPS, and Samsung Odyssey VR headset. I also have a corsair AIO plug into an internal USB header.

None of the USB devices changes for the past few months, and the BSOD only show up in the past few days.
