BSOD with different Error Codes

Hi there,

I've been having BSOD issues with my PC for a few months, it has been completely random as to when it occurs. It was once every few days, but as of yesterday its been happening a lot more frequently. Each time giving me a different stop code.

I have tried doing different fixes to try and get it to stop, but its still occurring. I tried Driver Verifier which gave me a stop code about a violation, and I've tried going through my drivers to see which might be faulty. These are the stop codes I have received in the last day

  • DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER
  • DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
  • IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
  • WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

It seems to be a driver issue of some sort, but I have been unable to isolate the issue with it giving me multiple stop codes. I've created a Zip folder, containing the last few Mini dumps that were generated just in case it shows what is actually wrong.

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Your minidump files list two things as a cause of the crashes, the Chipset driver on your motherboard and a virtual driver associated to software for controlling RGB lighting

    Go to the support page for your Motherboard on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the version of Chipset drivers they recommend and while there, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed.

    2

    Temporarily uninstall any software for controlling RGB lighting on your PC and test if your PC is stable.

    Hi Dave, thank you for the response., I have done step one and got the most recent chipset, and got that installed. I also set everything back to default and so far there have been no BSOD. However with how random they were, its still possible to happen.

    I also did a clean install of my graphics drivers just in case that was causing it somehow.

    Were those the only two issues that appeared from the Mini Dump or did they indicate any other issues?

    Those were the only two things indicated in your dump files, there was nothing else listed as a contributing factor in the crashes.

    Please wait to see if your system is now stable, if not, please upload any newly created minidump files for analysis.

    Here is the information of the minidumps that I've analyzed using WinDbg:

    Minidump 1: FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0xc4_2000_ene!unknown_function MODULE_NAME: ene

    Minidump 2: WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for win32k.sys (error while analyzing the minidump file)

    Minidump 3: FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0xF7_MISSING_GSFRAME_win32kfull!unknown_function

    MODULE_NAME: win32kfull

    Minidump 4: FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: IP_MISALIGNED_GenuineIntel.sys MODULE_NAME: GenuineIntel

    I don't know why the second minidump is unable to analyze. However, you still have the information for the first, third and fourth minidump.
