Problems with Camera app.

I'm having a problem with the camera app in Windows 10. I haven't used it in some time but was surprised when I couldn't reverse the view or use other controls. With all the updates, who knows what has happened over time. An MS-Tech tried to figure it out & spent a long time trying to clean it up and reset the software. When finally over... camera app still had the same problems. People have so many problems with this app and nobody seems to have the problems solved. Should I just remove the app and install something else?

    Hi

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I know this problem has been bothering you for a long time. I can understand your feelings.

If the camera can be used normally before and cannot be used after a period of time, it may be caused by some damage to the system program. You can try the following ways.

    1. Have you ever tried to create a new account to see if the problem still exists?
    2. Try to repair using the system repair command.

Right-click the Windows key,and then left-click the Windows Terminal (admin) option. Press the Enter key after each command:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    sfc /scannow

    Reboot your pc.

    1. Or you could try to use system repair software to fix it. This repair process will not affect your data and information but will have a high probability of fixing your errors. This is a system component replacement and repair process, which is somewhat different from the windows reset.

Download the iso file to cover and repair the installation:

    (1) Enter the website.

    (2) Click [Download Tool Now] to download [MediaCreationToolW10.exe] tool.

    (3) Open after downloading, and choose to accept after opening.

    (4) Click [Create installation media for another computer].

    (5) Choose the next step after confirming the language, version and architecture.

    (6) Click [iso file], click Next.

    (7) Select the download path and name of the file in the pop-up window.

    (8) After clicking Save again, the Win10 iso file will be automatically downloaded.

    (9) After downloading the iso file, double-click the iso file to open it, click [setup] to open, select [Change the way to download and update Windows installer], select [Not used now], click Next, wait for the completion of the run, and finally select [ Installation], wait for the installation to complete. (Before clicking install, save all the files you are editing)

Keep us posted if you encounter any challenges along the process.

    Best regards
