Windows Update now lists "Intel - SoftwareComponent - 2130.1.15.0". WHY when 2130.1.16.1 has already been released??

Do I need to consider installing the 2130.1.15.0 update when it appears to be superseded already????

Why would it just show up now in Windows update if it was released August 31, 2021?

Confused on this one.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Herman,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

No need to if you have the latest driver installed. It often happens due to a glitch.

When the update is offered, you can hide this update using the following troubleshooter tool:

Download Windows 10 Updates Troubleshooter Tool from Microsoft

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F2...

Click on "Hide updates" option and you'll be able to hide the desired update given in the list.

    Hope that helps.
