scroll wheel stop working in task manager

Question

when I open task manager the scroll wheel works normally to browse the running applications, but after I close an application the scroll wheel immediately locks up in the task manager. after I close and reopen the application it works normally. any help appreciated

Check if it still reports the corrupted files repaired successfully message or if it says no corruption found.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline

repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

Is there any other steps I need to take?
