I installed 2022-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based System (KB5014699) on the following Machine.

Device : IdeaPad Slim 1-14AST

Processor AMD A6-9220e RADEON R4, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G 1.60 GHz

Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.83 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points

Edition Windows 10 Home

Version 21H2

Installed on ‎1/‎5/‎2021

OS build 19044.1766

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

After installing the update when I activated the hotspot I have been using to connect with some cameras normal web applications such as going to www.ibm.com using Edge browser no longer works. If I deactivate the hotspot, internet functionality comes back to life. Any thoughts?

Hello Live_Amory,

Good day! I'm John and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

There are several reports from other users experiencing the same problem. I recommend reporting the issue through the Feedback Hub app to notify Microsoft.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sen...

Please try uninstalling the recent June update(KB5014699) until Microsoft releases a fix.

Press Windows key+I to open Settings

Select Update and Security > View update history

Click Uninstall Updates

Under Microsoft Windows, select the recent June update(KB5014699) in the list then Click Uninstall

Wait for the update to uninstall

Restart your computer

Once uninstalled and if this fixes the issue, please try to 'Pause updates for 7 days'.

You can also use the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try to hide KB5014699 update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

Unfortunately, the official download link for "Show or Hide Updates" troubleshooter has been broken or removed. You can safely download the "Show or Hide Updates Troubleshooter" in this alternative site.

Kindly let me know if this helps or if you have any further concerns.

Not just the hotspot feature, but the ICS in general... I have a desktop here that shares the access through the secondary Ethernet interface... I have the same issue... Ping, nslookup and tracert all work, but none of the programs seem to get access to the internet when ICS is enabled...

After installing this update, Windows devices might be unable use the Wi-Fi hotspot feature. When attempting to use the hotspot feature, the host device might lose the connection to the internet after a client device connects.
