60 FPS cap in fullscreen mode.

Hello,

After buying a new pc, installing windows 10 and trying some games I noticed that in fullscreen mode the fps are always capped at 60 fps, but in windowed mode it gets unlocked, this is clearly a Windows issue because let me point out some stuff:

-It's not a driver issue, or a setting in the control panel or the game, as V-sync is off

-The computer runs the game at 255 fps in windowed mode, it's not that it can't get more than 60 fps

-Xbox app, Game bar, Fullscreen optimization are all turned off

So please if any of you knows a solution to this issue, post it as this is frustrating.

"Windows doesn't create frames. Your graphics card does that." I know that

"BTW #1: Your monitor's refresh rate (measured in Hz) and your graphics card's frame rate (measured in FPS) are two separate things." I also know that

"BTW #2: There are no Microsoft employees here. This is a community forum." thanks for the new info, but everything you have said doesn't fix anything, there are multiple people who experienced this problem after a certain update (I don't know which one), it's not about the monitor or the graphics card, it's the windows itself and I did not say that it creates the frames it's just something that went wrong after a certain update, but thanks anyways for your reply.

    Hi Strike420,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry to hear that was of no help. Try this too and see if it helps.

    1. Right click on the shortcut of your game
    2. Choose Properties
    3. Click the compatibility tab
    4. Place a check on "Disable full screen optimizations"
    5. Click Apply then Ok
    6. Try to run your game again and check if the issue is still there.

    Let me know what happens.

With respect mate, but I clearly mentioned that I disabled Fullscreen optimization:

"-Xbox app, Game bar, Fullscreen optimization are all turned off"

So no, this did not fix it, it is something else.

Yes, I know. People here blame everything on updates.
