Let me know how it works.
Windows Live Mail
I understand that Windows Live Mail is no longer supported - my gmail account suddenly stopped working telling me that my details were not correct (which they were) the explanation was:
AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Invalid credentials (Failure)
Configuration:
Account: Gmail XXX
Server: imap.gmail.com
User name: XXX
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 993
Secure(SSL): 1
Code: 800cccd1
I can access my emails via Google Chrome but would like to get my Windows Live account working - any thoughts? Simon

When you say "Windows Live Mail" do you mean the mail client called Windows Live Mail, part of the Windows Essentials suite of products that you install on your computer or do you mean the Outlook.com web site https://outlook.live.com/ that years and years ago was called Windows Live?
If the former, enable two-factor authentication (https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839) and then generate an app password to use in the settings in WLM instead of the normal password (https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833).
If the latter, then it's time to stop using a connected account in your Outlook.com settings. Microsoft removed the connected account feature from Outlook.com back on May 10, 2021. It was supposed to continue working, but if it ever fails, it will never be fixed.
