I downloaded the Google Drive Setup file for Google Drive Desktop. It turns out that I'm stuck because of an error message. The error message was, 'This Windows architecture is not supported' which I do not have any certainty of why this is happening.

    Hi, I've the same issue.

I'm trying to install GoogleDrive to a Windows 11 64Bit Surface Pro X.

It'is impossible to install it because the architecture is not supported.

    Any workaround?

    Thankyou

Hi Hanson. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Normally that message is given if you're using a weaker ARM processor that cannot support Google Drive's sync service. See here:

    https://support.google.com/drive/thread/1373356...

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

You can run OneDrive which offers sync of your Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders via backup Settings here:

If you want to express your opinion on this you may be able to help Microsoft improve this product/feature by using the Feedback Hub in Start Menu. While they will not see it here, Microsoft developers DO read feedback from customers that comes in via the Feedback Hub, so that is a great way to share your thoughts on how to better serve you as a customer.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
