PC has been experiencing random crashes (mostly it freezes and I have to reboot but sometimes it goes to BSOD)

This morning it happened and it did some kind of bug check? it said there was a crash dump file and wondered if somebody could assist in figuring out the issue.

Hi, I did as you suggested, but still seeing crashes very frequently, see below from the reliability report.

most of the crashes are just my screen freezing, so I have to power down the PC. because of this I never get a minidump file except that one case I shared before.

I had this happen before, about 18months ago and it was fixed when I changed the GPU, the GPU itself had an issue. could I just be unlucky again?

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for sharing the minidump file.

The minidump file indicate UsbHub3.sys as a cause of the crash which is related to the USB drivers.

To troubleshoot this issue, kindly try the following steps:

1-Go to Settings > Update > Check for updates > Install all pending updates.

2-Right click on Start > Device Manager > Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller > Right click on the USB Root Hub and click on Uninstall > Check the box 'Delete the driver software for this device' > Uninstall > Restart your computer and see if your computer would be stable or not.

3-Disconnect all unnecessary devices attached to the USB ports. If possible, use another mouse and keyboard.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me posted.

    Regards,

    Hi GyrateTube45,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Kindly check C:\Windows\Minidump and copy available minidump files to the desktop then share them via One Drive or Google Drive in order to be analyzed and indicate which file is causing the crash.

    Regards,
