Visual basic command line compiler process is running and literally "eating" my cpu usage.

I ended the process and started again on its own after some time. This is really frustrating and I really hope you will help me fix it. I tried using an optimizing tool that basically put the process into the block list but that only works when the application is running. I'm sure there is a better alternative to doing this.

Thanks in advance.

    Hey there Stelios!

My name is Miguel Ángel and I'm an independent advisor, also a Microsoft user just like you! I'll try to help you today with your issue.

This normally happens when Visual Studio is compiling codes, and therefore the CPU usage is obviously high. Are you creating and compiling any kind of code or program?

Please, do make sure that all your Windows Updates are installed (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update), and make sure to run a Windows Defender check to see if there's any malware causing this. Let me know about the results of both actions.

I'll wait for your reply! Don't worry, everything will be okay :)

I installed all the updates as well as ran some scans. I scanned with different antiviruses including windows defender and it was indeed a malicious program. I restarted my pc and it was fixed :). Thanks for helping me.
