Files not seen in Program Files (x86) folder

I have installed an application in Windows 10, used for translations. I am able to create txt files in that and those get saved in Program Files x(86) folder of that application.

But when I go to that folder in Windows Explorer, I am not seeing anything there and hence I am not able to copy anything from there. Please let me know how I can make those visible. I tried all the options in View Settings in Windows Explorer, but nothing worked.

Hi Haridas. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

What makes you think these files are stored in Program Files, that would be highly unusual since only the actual program files that run the program get installed there. Program Data usually goes to a folder like hidden C:\Program Data, or one of the hidden AppData folders under your User Account. Some apps also let you set where you want the files created in the app in the the app's Settings.

Did you research where the files create by the App are stored? Did you check the app settings to see if this is shown or can be set there?

If you'll tell me the name of the App I can help you determine this.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Thank you Greg for your response. I was trying to open a file already created by the app and the Open File option in the app listed those files ( these are just txt files) already created by the app. That is the first screenshot I provided above. I am able to open those files and edit them as usual. But since those are not detected by Windows Explorer, I am not able to move them to a different folder. URL below will take you to the app that I downloaded and used.

Hi Haridas, on the off chance that you still need this information, the files are stored at:

    C:\Users[your username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Varamozhi Editor
