I do have Visual Studio since I was going to learn how to make apps but haven't started. Could I swap out the HDD or will I need to transfer the files to C:?
Two sets of program files
Hi,
I have two sets of program files on C: I have all the normal stuff but on :D drive I have some of the same stuff that may be duplicated?
Program Files
WindowsApps
WpSystem
WUDownloadCache
Are all on my D: drive but I do not remember transferring those from C: to my D: drive my HDD is showing signs of failing even though it's brand new so I was going to replace it. Am I safe to just swap it out for a new HDD or do I transfer those folders listed above to my C: drive?

2022-09-07T11:56:27+00:00 If you installed one or more applications to the other drive then the folders may appear identical since it may need some of the same folder structure but will probably contain different files. I've seen this on my own system with eg Microsoft Visual Studio.
You might just be confused. Software and programmers can confuse people to no end. Some people on here try too hard to think legit things are not legit :)
