Windows Defender Task

Does anyone know what this scheduled task is SUPPOSED to do?

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Platform\4.18.2207.7-0\MpCmdRun.exe Scan -ScheduleJob -ScanTrigger 55 -IdleScheduledJob

It always terminates with 0x2 which means can't find or access the program. I can't find much on the other arguments. Windows defender seems to be operating normally, but I'm wondering if failure of the task has any significance. The folder and MpCmdRun.exe exists and should be reachable. Windows 11 Pro, 21H2, Build 22000.856.

Thanks

Well, I've discovered that Windows Defender is actually running scans because I will occasionally get a message saying "Windows Defender has scanned your computer n times and found no problems" (or something like that). You can schedule your own task to run a full scan. Set up a task similar to the one mentioned above, and use the arguments -Scan -Scantype 2.

Do you have a third party AV/Security utility?

THX! I'll add it now. Checking on format for the arguments:

    -Scan -Scantype 2

This is the argument in my Windows Defender scheduled scan. I recognized it because I was trying to figure out how to change it to a full scan instead of quick scan.
