    Hi,

This issue puzzles me quite a bit. It seems to happen to me a couple to a handful times every week. It is very annoying. Normally, closing a number of app windows, Chrome tabs, lock/unlock screen may change the behavior, i.e. mouse pointer comes back but no reason why. I have googled after a solution but the only thing you find are suggestions like the ones above. What I see is that quite a few people runs into this issue but it seems to be no known root cause or actual solution.

    What I normally see:

    * The cursor is present in the task bar

    * The cursor disappears when moved above the task bar

    * Cursor location is shown when pressing Ctrl (round flashing circles)

The cursor is sometimes present in some apps while not present in other apps.

So - what is causing this behavior?

    Best regards,

    Pelle

Hello Sachin. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

The Consumer fixes for cursor disappearing are here:

(Avoid ad links which intrude into editorial copy, especially avoid Restoro, PC Repair Tool and Reimage ads)

https://www.thewindowsclub.com/mouse-pointer-di... (Avoid ad links which intrude into editorial copy, especially avoid Restoro, PC Repair Tool and Reimage ads)

However if this is an organization you should ask this question at our sister forums for IT Professionals, Q&A forums here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/answers/index.... as Microsoft Community is strictly an end-consumer forum.

Solutions we give here may conflict with the organization''s Group Policy which we do not use in consumer forums at all.

There are also equally good (and sometimes busier) IT Pro forums here:

    https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/

    https://www.spiceworks.com/

    I hope it helps.
