Computer BSOD when Idle

Hello,

I need some assistance trying to figure out what is causing my computer to crash/BSOD when I'm idling. I can play high-end games, have video meetings and utilize Chrome with 20+ tabs without issues for hours. When I close my programs and walk away for 20+ minutes, my computer crashes. I have ran the RAM diagnostics, check my registry and cleaned up my drives using CCleaner. My core temp are not going past 42 degrees C. I have my GPU and CPU software up-to-date on Windows 10.

Hi Jack,

Your minidump files indicate a driver associated to your Intel Processor is causing the crashes.

Go to the support page for your MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON Motherboard on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the version of Chipset drivers they recommend and while there, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed

if you are overclocking your processor, stop that, if there is an XMP profile set on your RAM in BIOS, disable that, set it to default.

Wait to see if your system stabilizes.

So far, so good! Turned off XMP and updated BIOS.

    Thanks a ton!

    Hi Jack,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

I tried to download your dump file(s) but that link only contains a shortcut, please try this method:

    Open the minidump folder

Select any files in there and press Ctrl + C to copy those files

On your Desktop, right click and choose New - Folder

Go into that new folder and press Ctrl + V to paste a copy of those files

    Log into OneDrive: https://onedrive.live.com/

Drag that new folder form your Desktop into the OneDrive page and wait for it to upload

When it has uploaded, right click the folder on the OneDrive page and choose Share

    Click Copy Link

    Then post that link here.
