I got this computer for Christmas pre-built with Windows on it, I have had this issue for a while but I have ignored it.

Your screenshot doesn't add up. Windows 10 Core, also known as Windows 10 Home cannot use a volume licence for activation. That type of licence is intended for Windows 10 Pro and above.

Can you give a bit more detail on the history of the licence. Was Windows 10 Home ever activated, was the computer brand new when you bought it.

Is it a branded computer, HP, Dell Acer etc. Did it come with Windows 10 pre-installed by that manufacturer.?

    Hello jlogue123,

Thank you for updating me that information. Based on the attached image, You're using a volume license which is intended for organizations and businesses to activate large numbers of computers. It's not intended for home use. You may need to consider buying a new genuine license of Windows.

    Kind regards,
