Windows 11 installing AMD graphic wrong drivers

Hi.

I have windows 11 home. Every time, after I install AMD adrenaline software (downloaded from AMD), MS WINDOWS 11 install an AMD graphic driver that don't work.

I activate the Group Policy Editor so I can deactivate in there.

I deactivate in SYSTEM > ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS > HARDWARE > DEVICE INSTALLATION SETTINGS

And I edit de registry so WINDOWS 11 HOME don't install any DRIVER.

But nothing works. Every time I install AMD Adrenaline (and work like a charm) WINDOWS pop an AMD graphic driver installation, install it, and screw de AMD drivers.

How can I block WINDOWS update from installing drivers.

I need a useful answer (I look up on other treads and saw that they have the same problem. Still unresolved).

Thanks.

    Hi Maximiliano_99

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You can use the official Microsoft Show/Hide tool to hide that AMD update, so Windows will not try to install that driver in the future.

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F2...

Install the correct AMD driver, then when you see that AMD driver in the updates section, hide it with that tool.

The default install of Win11 does not set Optional updates, which includes drivers to auto install.

Only important updates should be set to auto install and notify

For a branded PC or Laptop you obtain ALL drivers from that maker and no where else

If you want to mention other threads you have to provide a link
