Minecraft bought on wrong account

Hi,

Last week I purchased Minecraft Java Edition through minecraft.net. While purchasing I selected the option to log in with my microsoft account, I was not prompted to type in my password and instead was brought straight to the purchase screen. As I thought I was signed into my account, I selected my payment option and checked out only to find out that the account to which I was signed into was not mine. I have no idea how this is possible as I did not recognize the username of the account and have no idea which email it could be linked to or how it got on my computer at the time of purchase. I now cannot play the game despite my card being charged and do not have access to the transaction ID in order to obtain a normal refund. What is my best course of action to either obtain a refund or gain access to the game?

    Hi Adrian,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

You can now buy Minecraft from the Microsoft Store too. You would have to generate a support ticket here:

    Hope that helps.
