Hi Dale. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Windows 10 has always had location problems. Many wonder why Google maps from a browser has near-pinpoint accuracy but Windows 10 System doesn't. This is explained best here.

    https://www.lifewire.com/location-in-windows-10...

You can try setting location as shown here:

    https://www.howtogeek.com/264809/how-to-set-you...

    https://www.digitalcitizen.life/how-set-your-de...

You can also set your country or region locations if that helps:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/68106-chang...

Make sure Location Services is enabled in Services.msc, by typing Services.msc in Search box, run as Administrator, scroll down to Location Services to Start abd set ti Automatic.

If you want to express your opinion on this to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not even see it here. This is a tech forums staffed mostly by volunteers trying to help others with your problems.

If you want to post back a Share link from your Feedback here others who see this thread can vote it up and add to it.

I hope this helps. Based on what you report back I can answer any questions and may have other steps to perform.

Unless your computer has a built-in GPS, how can anyone know where it is? The most that an app can do is guess at your location based on available information like your IP address or the nearest WiFi tower (if you're on WiFi.)

In Windows 10 you can tell Windows what your location is, but you have to specify a location, so it won't move with you, and that location only works for Microsoft Store apps and then only if you're signed in to your Microsoft account.
