Raid Controller doesn't have a driver

Greetings!

I recently found in Control Panel - Devices and Printers a flag problem on my desktop PC. When checking, I get a message about the lack of a Raid Controller driver. I don't know what it is, does it have something to do with creating Raid arrays of hard drives? But I don't use them. How critical is it? How to fix it? Automatic fix does not help and reboot does not fix the situation either, the yellow flag persists.

I have Windows 10 x64 Home 21H2 19044.1889, all updates are up to date (the update center does not offer anything else).

Recently (a day or two ago) I used chkdsk, sfc, dism on the system - I get messages that everything is ok, everything is fine...

I don't have restore points. Whether this problem has happened before or just recently, I don't know.

The system was reinstalled just last month.

Asus TUF Gaming Z690 D4

Intel i7 12700K

The screenshots show what it looks like.

Hi Jack. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

RAID can also be the SATA controller driver that drives the hard drives, although AHCI is now the standard in Windows 10 and 11 for SATA controller, there are still a few named RAID.

Is there a device driver missing in Device Manager, accessed by right clicking the Start button? It will have a yellow ! mark to show it's missing driver.

Easiest way to remedy this is to update your chipset drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from Asus Support Downloads web page for your model here:

    https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Mo...

Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Thanks for the advice, friend! It helped me!

I downloaded the driver from the official ASUS website Intel_RST_Driver_V19.0.0.1067_WIN10_WIN11_64-bit and after installing it, the problem was no longer relevant. I note that the ASUS website is beautiful, but a large number of different drivers makes it difficult to choose the right ones, as if because of all these tricky and incomprehensible abbreviations and words, in order to update the driver, you need to have a higher education in artificial intelligence programming and robotics from California Technical University. Ha ha ha))) Oh my God, why does it have to be so difficult?...

To be honest, this whole problem appeared after I updated the OS through Microsoft Update and received an optional update for my BIOS. My guess is that the Microsoft update was missing a driver for SATA. I mean, I'm sick of getting questionable updates from Microsoft that periodically create problems. Not so long ago, I had to reinstall the OS due to problems with the Microsoft Store, Xbox apps and Game Bar, which were caused by incorrect OS updates. And also not so long ago, due to firmware updates for my Elite Series 2 controller, it stopped working normally in half of my games and I had to use non-standard methods to return the firmware to my controller (I don’t have a console), after which I finally refused to update my gamepad.

Also in the screenshot, I attached the window of the armory crate program, which loads the drivers for the motherboard. It's strange, but there are no offers to update SATA in it and everything looks like all the necessary drivers. This screenshot was taken BEFORE I downloaded the SATA driver from the manufacturer's website. And all this time this program showed that all the drivers were up to date, but the problem with the device in the manager said otherwise. Does this mean that I have to download drivers from the manufacturer's website for the chipset and other things and install them in spite of these programs? What if I install an older version? The numbers with the version number on the site are different from what armory crate shows me and I don’t understand if I have the latest version, if I need the right driver at all, or if something is missing.

    I am confused.

Armory Crate tells me: Intel Chipset Driver - current version 10.1.18838.8284.

    ASUS website tells me: DRV_MEI_Intel_Cons_ADL_TP_W11_64_V21451420_20220209R

    ****?!

What is the latest driver that I should install or leave installed at the moment? And that goes for everything related to motherboard drivers.
