MS Threat Modeling Tool Stencils

Is there a template containing stencils for Azure and for desktop applications, or can 2 stencils be loaded or combined? I have a medical device application with an on-premise and cloud component hosted in Azure. It seems when I load the Azure template, I do not have the traditional desktop components such as SQL database. When I load the Azure template, it only has Azure stuff. When I load the medical device template, great set of desktop and other stuff, but no Azure. Doesn't see the tool supports adding 2 templates.

@LarryGreenspan-0412 Have you tried using the merge template option from Threat Modeling tool. You need to fist open any existing template for example - azure. Once the template is loaded successfully, then you can use the "Merge Template to This" to select another template.

You will be asked to create save the template as a new file and once you select that option you will get both the templates merged together as a new file.
You can also reach out to threat modeling support team at tmtextsupport@microsoft.com for any specific questions about the tool features.

    Hi Saurabh,

Thank you for the quick reply and I look forward to getting this worked out. I do not have a merge template option. I only have an apply template option:

Do I have the latest version of the tool?

Attached is the template that has both Default as well as Azure Stencils. I have used Merge option to create this template40702-desktop-and-azure-stencils-templatetb7.txt

I renamed the file to .txt as I was not able to upload .tb7.

45325-threatmodel.png@SaurabhSharma0303 @Larry Greenspan I 've received the below feedback from Microsoft, since when you try to merge all 3 templates provided, some errors occur. Basically Microsoft doesn't recommend/support the "merge" function in their tool
