Bought a new Intel Nuc M15 Bishop County, I5-1135g7, with Windows 10 pro.

When starting laptop I got this message:

a bootable device has not been detected;

In bios there was a boot override:

Windows - push button;

Made a flash for Windows 10 pro and installed Windows, but it did not activate.

Tried:

PS C:\Users\adria> wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

Returns:

OA3xOriginalProductKey ;

Tried:

The product key in SoftwareProtectionPlatform (regedit)

Returns:

some error code;

Tried:

Resetting laptop via Windows - push button in bios

Result:

same;

Tried:

Contacting the retailer

Result:

no luck :))

Tried:

Updating windows

Results:

all good except for bios update: Check FW Capsule Data.

Is there any way I can activate windows or is it counterfeit?

Thanks alot.

In that case there is no digital licence. I am sorry for the trouble this caused you Adrian but it does look like the device did not have a license.

    I did:

    It's the same key that I find in the SoftwareProtectionPlatform (regedit); but it's a default key and it requires a Digital License for activation. I am guessing there is no DL as that would activate by itself, right?

    I should close this topic, how can I do that?

    Have you tried using this app to check if a license key is on the system : https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/9PKVZCP... ?

    Hello Adrian,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

    Since the device shows no license key via the license key checker and has an issue with bootable drive it is most likely that windows was not installed in the system and hence no licence.

    You mentioned that the device is new, the seller should provide a warranty for the device and is responsible for it.
