CORRUPT RECYCLE BIN MESSAGE

Just recently I received a message on my laptop desktop that I have a corrupted recycle bin. I have done nothing even though I have read various ways to repair this. I have had no problems with using my recycle bin or any other computer problems. Should I be concerned or was this message an error? I regularly do a scan of my computer for viruses (Norton 360).

    Hi Holly.

I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

I suggest you do the procedure instructed below to reset the Recycle Bin.

    1. Open Start and type cmd, right-click on "Command Prompt", and select "Run as administrator".
    2. Type or paste the following command at the Command Prompt and press Enter:

    rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin

    1. Open the Recycle Bin and see if it's resolved.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.

If you have Norton 365 there is no need to scan unless prompted by Norton
