A .bmp is simply an image. The abbreviation stands for bitmap.
Apparently our independent advisor hasn't heard of Verisign, which is one of the largest companies managing the internet, and totally legitimate.

Hello I found this file called verisign.bmp and I'm just wondering what it is? Could it be a virus or am I just overreacting?
