BSOD authenticamd.sys

Question

Hello,

Whenever I play games like Forza Horizon 5 my pc crashes with an error in authenticamd.sys.

My pc has:

• Ryzen 7 2700x

-Asus ROG STRIX X570-E

• Gtx 1070ti

-16gb of ram

-512 gb m2 ssd with system on it

-my drivers are from what I can tell up to date

Previously I've had a similar problem which occured in the same scenarios [code(0x00000124(0x0000000000000010, 0xffffd58f742cb028, 0xffffd58f54f9192c, 0xffffd58f5807c1a0)] however with an error in ntoskrnl. Changing the motherboard solved it, but now I'm back on the old one as it came from warranty and just hope its not it again.

I've tested cpu and ram and all runs well.

Info about the BSOD:

Every time it shows WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR(0x124(0x10, 0xFFFFB486AF603028, 0xFFFFB4869D65F09C, 0xFFFFB4869D7E01A0) with a fault in authenticamd.sys.

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Your minidump files indicates memory (RAM) corruption and mainly the AMD chipset device driver as the cause of the crashes.

Go to the support page for your PC or Motherboard on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the version of Chipset drivers they recommend and while there, check for any BIOS update that may need to be installed
