Camera app not working

Yesterday I had a tech replace the top of my laptop and now my camera app is malfunctioning. Best I can tell it's the app and not the hardware. The camera app is not allowed to be uninstalled in the control panel. "0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent>(0X800703E3)" was my first error message. Then I got an error message I can't find anything about, "0xA00F42A1<SceneError>(0X800703E3)".

The first thing that happened was the camera froze. Then when I close and reopen, the app just doesn't load... it has an x in the corner and a camera icon and nothing else happens. When I reboot, I've been able to get it to open and work successfully, but if I close it and reopen it, the app doesn't load again.

I've checked drivers, done the troubleshooter, repair and reset. Nothing is working. Please help!

    https://webcamtests.com/

Go to visit above site, click to test your camera, site does not download any softwares.

    Method 2

For testing purpose, create new local account with Admin rights, login into new account, update Camera app through Microsoft Store, then check camera

    Hello AlisonMadrey,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Was the camera working before the hardware replacement?

If yes it does look like the camera may either be left unplugged or the cable was torn during the replacement. Software error will still show up if the hardware is having issues and this includes camera app not being shown or the camera not opening up.

    Go back to that Tech

Any Bios/Drivers are supplied by that laptop makers support, not via win update (optional updates)
