Hi mgmdvm
Rest assured, you will not loose your personal files, settings or installed software, the downgrade to Pro is smooth and yes, the Windows 10 Pro product key will work.

I downloaded the enterprise evaluation copy, now that I have used it and it is expiring, I would like to purchase and activate it as a full version. I use it for work as a virtual machine (I have Windows, Mac, and Linux on the same machine) so that I can work on any given system needed. Is it possible to buy the license or update the evaluation copy?

Great, thanks!
Ok thanks. Since I can't find a Windows 11 key yet, I could get the 10 Pro key and put it in? Would I lose apps and files? or would they stay with the change?
Hi mgmdvm
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Windows 11 Enterprise is a volume licence version of Windows, it is used by companies and large organizations, it is not a consumer version and you cannot purchase a Windows 10 Enterprise licence as a private individual.
You would need to purchase a full retail Windows 11 Pro licence ley, then enter that into the activation page, that will downgrade your Windows to the Pro version and activate it.
