I keep getting a blue screen error at random times... not sure what is causing it. When it blue screens and restarts my computer it says it is a Kmode exception not handled error.

I have copied the error in the event viewer and it says the following 2 errors:

  1. The cpuz136 service failed to start due to the following error:

This driver has been blocked from loading

2)The description for Event ID 875 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

cpuz136_x64.sys

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Any suggestions or help with this please and thanks.

I have CPUID and CPU-Z. I have uninstalled CPUID because I thought it was the issue and I still currently have CPU-Z installed.

Here is the dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3p64e0j4zh9p5ss/052322-14140-01.zip?dl=0 let me know if its working fine or not, Thank you.

    Hi asteezy

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

With regards to the cpuz136_x64.sys error do you have any of the following software installed on your PC?

    CPUID

    CPU-Z

    Soluto

    Speecy.
