no Windows Security app

Windows Security does not appear on my list of apps. it does come up in the search bar, but cannot be opened. i already ran SFC and DISM checks, and both had no issues. i attempted to reset the app using powershell, but after entering the command, nothing happened. which makes sense considering it seems like the app is simply just not on my pc. i cant find this issue anywhere, and there is no download for the app in the microsoft store. halp

    Hi Dylan,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Right click your Start Button, choose PowerShell (admin)

Paste this command into PowerShell and press Enter:

    Add-AppxPackage -Register -DisableDevelopmentMode "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.SecHealthUI_cw5n1h2txyewy\AppXManifest.xml"

When that completes, close PowerShell and restart (not shut down) your PC

    Hi Dylan,

Rather than uninstalling and re-installing Windows 11, try performing a repair upgrade, this would not affect your personal files or installed software.

Download the Windows ISO form the link below (bottom option on the page)

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

When that downloads, double click the ISO file to mount it, then run Setup.exe and select the Upgrade option

thank you for the reply! unfortunatly it said "cannot find path.. because it does not exist". the only thing i can think of is i uninstalled it accidentally. i asked microsoft and they said the only solution is to make a flash drive for windows 11 and uninstall/reinstall. thank you for the help
