Windows 11 bug: When taskbar auto hide feature is enabled file explorer/window manager becomes extremely slow.

Hello everyone,

I noticed an interesting bug in Windows 11. When the auto hide feature is enabled file explorer /window manager is extremely slow.

I have a high end machine that I use for data science research- when taskbar auto-hide is enabled, opening a video takes 10 to 20 secs. When taskbar auto-hide is disabled, opening the video is instantaneous.

This is not a blocker for me but if anyone out there experiences slow file explorer or window manager problems this could be the cause.

Yours sincerely,

CyberTrap

    Hello,

I am not using an insider build I use an official release version. I posted here because I could not find a suitable to post this issue.

Note it does not trouble me because I do not really need the taskbar auto-hide feature. This is more of a warning for other windows users.

    My build info:

    Edition Windows 11 Pro

    Version 21H2

    Installed on ‎07/‎04/‎2022

    OS build 22000.613

    Kind regards,

    CyberTrap
