MTR Reboot frequency

In our organization for ease of use, we would like to change the reboot frequency from Daily to a longer time period. When this adjustment is made using the Task Scheduler, the frequency is changed successfully. However, if at any point the system is rebooted (manually or by the period assigned), the Task length reverts back to Daily. How can this be adjusted?

    Hello AVVTC,

According to your issue, firstly, please let me apologize as currently I don’t have related MTR devices to test. Following content is largely depends on my own experience on normal device with Windows 10 OS .  I’m sorry for this, your understanding will be greatly appreciated.

In Windows OS, we have a Task Scheduler that could automatically run Tasks created there. May I confirm you the “Task Scheduler” you’re using is similar with that? Or if convenient and possible, you could share one screenshot of that Task with me here.

I tried to create one task which will automatically run Teams every one week, and try to reboot computer, but setting remains and doesn’t get changed back. I figure if convenient, you can recreate that task, try to update system and manually update MTR to see if it works. You could create a different task for comparison to check if issue would occur. By the way, there’s one instruction regarding Microsoft Teams Rooms maintenance and operations for your reference.

If you have any update , welcome back and feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards,

    Etta

    Hello AVVTC,

Thank you very much for your reply. I further tested it but still failed to reproduce it again. I think you could recreate a new task and monitor for a while, you could also create a new task with a different operation, creat task under different folder in folder tree, like create it under Windows folder for test and check if all tasks made in TaskScheduler have this issue. Please make sure the OS is updated.

After consulting, since this issue is related with TaskSchedule in Windows OS. To better handle this issue, this thread will be moved to Windows / Windows 10 / Performance and system failures category. Our dedicated team will further monitor your issue.

    Best Regards,

    Etta

    Hello,

The MTR device is the same windows 10 OS with custom firmware/software on top. The Task Scheduler is the same, and comes pre-loaded with a setting "NightlyReboot" as you can see in the screenshot. This can be changed from Daily at 2:00 AM to any time that I would like. However, when the system reboots again at any point this setting changes back to Daily at 2:00AM
