From Field Locked

I am reading emails in an account I have in the Mail Application (not outlook windows mail). When I try to send a new email in that account it defaults the from box to a personal account that has nothing to do with the professional account I am using. Sadly I didn't catch this until a few professional contacts began replying to the personal account with all the spam social media and other assorted nonsense. Of course, they were never supposed to have my personal email address but for some reason while using the law firm account in the Windows mail App it has decided to default and locks the from field to my personal account. All of the help articles reference settings options that just don't exist in this version of windows. So bottom line how do I change the from field of the email to the account I am actually using? Or unlock it period? There is no File field or default from choice in settings so any answer involving that will not be correct.

    Hello,welcome to ask Microsoft Community

Our mail app only provides basic incoming and outgoing mail function, you can't specify the outbox

However, you can directly click the mailbox you want to use for sending emails on the left side of mail app, and then click Send Email.

I hope the above information can help you.
