Connect to internet using only ipv4 connectivity

Recently got a new router. According to their customer service, it is not IPV6 Enabled. On my network adapters status shows IPV4 is connected but IPV6 has no network access. I can not access the internet. I’ve tried 3 different types of network adapters including Ethernet. None of these get me access to the internet.

Network adapter drivers are up to date, and my network card is within reach. Would be upmostly grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction in terms of either connecting to the internet through ipv4 only, or helping enabling ipv6 connectivity if possible.

Thanks.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

Do you need IPv6 protocol on your PC? You can disable IPv6 on your internet access interface. You can find a step-by-step guide on how to do this setup at the link below:

Thanks for the feedback. Could you do two basic connectivity tests?

Open a Command Prompt window and do two ping tests, the first to your router IP and the other to a google ip, for example:

ping 192.168.1.1 (or whatever your router's IP is)

    ping 8.8.8.8

Copy and paste the results here.

For several years, most network devices have supported IPv6, but most websites do not.

Thus, if you wanted to communicate with other devices on your network with IPv6, you certainly could, although I can't think of why you would want to do that.

But you will not be able to use IPv6 addressing for websites, because most websites don't support it, and use IPv4 address. This is for backwards compatibility.

I find it surprising that a new router does not support IPv6. My Asus router is years old and supports IPv6. To illustrate, here is the IPv6 address that my router assigned to the computer I am using to write this - actually, to its Ethernet adapter:
