I have Windows 10. When I pin folders, etc., to Start, I am unable to organize them as I would like. When I drag an item to the desired location, the item just bounces back to the place where I found it. How can I have items stay where I put them?

    Greetings.

I could not find the search bar because I had removed it and forgot.

In following your instructions, I was not able to find  NoChangeStartMenu anywhere.

    Thanks for trying.

The search box near the windows icon.

You can also press windows and R keys together to open run window then type in regedit and press enter to open the editor.

    Hello GeraldKnight2,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

Please click on search bar and type in regedit

Press enter and registry editor should open

Visit these two keys and look for for a value named: NoChangeStartMenu

If you find the value right click on it and click delete

    HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
