When I open device manager, it says I have an Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER. I would like to use the 1660, but when I open the NVIDIA Control Panel, it doesn't have that dropdown menu to choose the preferred dedicated GPU. I disconnected the CPU fan and the 1660 to clean with an air canister 10 minutes ago, because the internet said that something could have gotten dirty or disconnected. I went into the GeForce Experience app to update my drivers, and it is now running on version 512.59, but still no dropdown menu. I have looked all over the internet, but I haven't found any good answers specific to this problem.

Hi Chase. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

See how to configure dual graphics on XPS 8940:

Update your drivers and BIOS using Dell Update or Support Assist whichever your model has installed.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Greg thank you so much, I have been trying to fix this for months, but for some reason, it never even crossed my mind to plug the hdmi cord directly into the 1660, because before today, I had never taken it out to see whats going on. It has been plugged into the wrong hdmi port this entire time. But your help made me realize my mistake, so I thank you more than you can imagine.
