Display Driver Broken! Need Help!!

So yesterday I ran into a problem where I was updating my drivers and I got a black screen. I went on this forum to fix it and finally got it fixed, but only my laptop screen showed images. My monitor on the other hand was not working at all. I have been trying to fix it ever since. I've done Win Key + Ctrl + Shift + B and it did nothing. I also see that in device manager I have two display drivers in there, one called AMD Radeon R5 Graphics and the other called AMD Radeon (TM) R7 M340. I have the R5 driver off but the R7 says it has problems. "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" Is what it says exactly. I need help with this one. I'm too scared to uninstall and reinstall drivers because I'm not experienced in computers. Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

If you go onto the AMD website, lookup the correct drivers for your device and download and install those. Often they are newer than the version you receive via Windows Update and will only install if you have selected the correct device so its quite safe.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise

As you have a laptoop you update both Bios & Drivers from that laptop makers support site and no where else.

The laptop maker may have a pre-insalled update utility

In win update settings turn off auto udate of optional updates, as they include drivers
