Disk drive disappearing

My disk drive keeps vanishing at a random point in time within 1- 30 min after I fully shut down and restart my computer. the data still exists on the computer and the drive, its just not accessible by me or my programs. I've tried a bunch of things so far, but I'm very limited as once it disappears there's nothing I can do to interact with it, and I've tried using the disk manager to re-scan for disks but it never shows back up unless I shut down my computer. Please help I'm losing my mind over this and it's causing me a great deal of stress. P.S There are too many files for me to save or transfer elsewhere to reformat the drive or anything of the like that may cause data loss and the whole reason I'm stressed over this is there's a lot of stuff I don't want to lose on there. It's an internal drive if that helps. Any and all help is appreciated. Additional info: Whenever I first launch the file manager after starting it freezes and stops responding for 1-5 min and whenever i try to navigate files on the drive while it exists it also freezes at random for a fair bit of time.

Please create a backup of the important files and get a storage new drive as soon as possible.

Also, is the PC/Laptop out of warranty? If not, you can file a warranty claim and get it replaced.

If you need any more help regarding the process, please feel free to connect with us in the community.

    Hi,

Please try checking if the storage drive is connected properly with the cables or not. Try tightening the connection cables if possible.

If that doesn't help, there is a chance that the drive is failing. Immediately create a backup of the important data in that drive and then download some disk checking software like crystaldiskinfo and check the health of the drive.
