Right Click Menu and more not working

A few days ago, perhaps following an Update, the Right Click Menu stopped working as well as the Double Tap on my Synaptics built in Glide Pad.

I have tried to update the driver using the Device Manager Built In driver utility as well as going to Synaptics website and looking for a driver. No driver changes appear to be needed and nothing is changed.

I still have the same problems - no Right Click drop-down Menu (which I now realize is use ALL the time), as well as a couple of left Click functions.

I checked the mouse settings to insure the buttons had not been transposed by accident - it was not and I also checked the Tap Options and all were right.

I also ran SFC & DISM but no errors were found. Tiried to run Chkdsk /r but was told Chkdsk was not recognized! I'm at a loss.

TIA -

Bingo! I followed the link you provided & the 1st suggestion they made was that I try using the "Shift + F10" keys to manually open the right context menu. I tried, it opened, and was told that indicates a problem with the Mouse Driver or the Mouse itself. So, for the time being, I can use "Shift+F10" to open the right context manully until I find out if I have a spare mouse. Thanks so much for the help - exactly what I needed.

THanks again for the Help with my Right Click issue. Today I realized I am having other issues as well. When using my Keyboard I am in the habit of using the Backspace key by holding it down and seeing it move across a large number of spaces quickly. Now, it seems like I must tap it once for every backspace. The same is happening to my Arrow keys, they only click one space at a time when I hold it down. Same for the Space Bar - I only get one click at a time whether I hold it down or tap it repeatedly. I should mention, my glide pad/mouse buttons and the keyboard are both connected..

I will definnately use the "Shift F10" work-around for my Right context issue but I am curious that the "R Context/Backspace/Arrows/Space Bar" all developing problems at the same time. Is it possible the Update make any changes that would affect all 4 tools at the the time? Or a change in the Registry? (I don't mess with the Registry). Also, just noticed that Double Clicking things like the Slider at the far Right is no longer grabbed by the mouse and dragged. Don't know if that counts as a 5th problem or just a part of the

BTW, I used Device Manager to check for any issues with my various devices and they all say they are using the most up to date Drivers available.

    TIA -
