Wifi driver & connectivity error

Hello,

I seem to be having a strange issue. Today the wifi suddenly disconnected and I cannot see any available wifi connections anymore. Note other devices are still connected to the same wifi. See below.

I tried running the troubleshooter and it said there's a problem with wifi driver. I have tried disabling, uninstalling, reinstalling the driver. I pulled out the wifi adaptor from PCIe slot and reinserted just in case. Hard reset the router does not seem to work either. Nothing seems to be working. See below.

I have a USB wifi adaptor as well and I thought of trying it out. Surprisingly same issue there, no available wifi connections being shown in the list. I tried updating the windows, no use. I had bought the PCIe adaptor from eBay, unfortunately the page is not available anymore but I am pasting a screenshot below if that helps. I would really appreciate if someone can guide me through this. Using an ethernet cable is not a viable option at the moment unfortunately. I have had to use my phone for tethering via USB connection, in order to connect to internet.

Many thanks.

    Good Day ShahzebQureshi,

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Network Adapters

-Look for the Wireless driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

-Look for "Browse my computer for driver

-Let me pick drivers available drivers

-Choose an old driver and use it.

    Reset Network Settings

    Open Settings.

    Click on Network & Internet.

    Click on Status.

Under the "Change your network settings" section, click the Network reset option.

    Click the Reset now button.

    Click the Yes button.

-Click Start, type CMD and run as administrator

-Copy and paste each of the commands below and hit enter.

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

Once you entered all those commands restart your computer and try to connect, dont use the wifi adapter , use the built in wifi.

If issue persist, let's download the updated driver from the manufacturers website.

What is the exact model of your computer?

To check the system model proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + R

    -Type msinfo32 and hit enter.

-Look for the System Model and manufacturer post it here.

If you are using a custom built pc look for Baseboard version and Baseboard product and post it here.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.
