No matter what I try my cursor of my computer will not move. I have tried 4 different mouse‘s. From wireless to gaming and plug in ones. I also tried holding the start key and moving with arrows. Also this computer is still on Windows 7. But I cannot do anything because it won’t move. What can I do to 1 get the cursor to work and 2 get my mouse to work. I have a Razor Naga Trinity.

    Hello, DaltonPAYNE1,

Before trying difficult solutions, try this simple one first, it worked for me a couple weeks ago; it might work for you.

Just make a change to your cursor settings (size, for example; whatever change).  Once your cursor is working right for a while (if it worked for you), you can put it back.

By restarting your machine in safe mode.

(There are a lot of tutorials in internet about the different options to do it, and even videos in YouTube, depending on what you can do and what you can't do with your puter).

    1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the computer.
    2. Turn on the computer.
    3. Tap the F8 key until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu.
    4. Use the arrow keys to select the desired safe mode and press Enter .
    5. The computer reboots Windows 7 into safe mode.

    Good day DaltonPayne1

    I am RonBonz

Tech enthusiast and Computer Shop owner before that offers windows Troubleshooting

I would like to suggest the following simple steps.

    1. Test or plug the mouse to another device to make sure it is properly working and try to update you windows system drivers
    2. Check if the mouse driver is installed. It should be detected by the system upon plugging if not get it to the manufacturer website under driver downloads
    3. Go to device manager and try to update the mouse driver.
    4. Sometimes it is just a port problem. Plug it to another USB port

    Hope this steps helps you.

    P.S.

Upon downloading driver, check for the windows version. Your mouse driver should be windows 7 compatible.
