Hello together,

I have an external hard drive that I would like to check this MSERT. But everytime I choose Customized Scan, it checks C:\ and not e.g. D:.

Does the full scan check all connected devices?

Yes if you wish to scan all the drives you will need to go for full scan. Custom scan can do one drive at a time.

    Hello WAIDI,

I am Jaspreet Singh an Independent advisor.

No Microsoft safety scanner does allow scanning of external drive but simply selecting custom scan wont do it. You need to click on choose folder and then select the external drive.

The scan will then first scan c drive and then on second run will scan the external drive.
