Hi, this is a bug with MiniSearchHost in Windows 11. All you can do is temporarily remove the annoyance - open Task Manager, scroll down to Windows Explorer and right click > Restart or expand Search and right click End Task on MiniSearchHost.exe

I have also encountered this really annoying bug. The best permanent workaround I have found is to remove the "magnifying glass" logo from the Taskbar. Right-click Taskbar => "Taskbar settings" => turn off "Search". Going forward you will have to run your searches through the search bar at the top of the Start menu, but I think that is much better than having to constantly disable MiniSearchHost.exe.

Yes, I wish I would have never updated to Windows 11. Sometimes it just stops everything.

Can I permanently disable it in services?
