    Hi Casperni,

Thanks for raising your concern in Microsoft Community. Hope everything is going well with you.

It sounds like the ChromeSetup.exe became TMP file. (If my understanding is wrong, feel free to correct me at any time)

I regret the inconvenience you are facing. In order to provide you with better assistance, I would like to understand your situation better:

    1. Where were you trying to download Chrome?
    2. As what I could see from your post, there is already a ChromeSetup.exe file which could be opened and run by double-click on it, why you have to download it again?

Meanwhile, you may try the solutions below to see the effect.

    1. Save the file in another location.
    2. Ensure that the current account is an Administrator account.
    3. Refer to steps in this article | Create a local user or administrator account in Windows (microsoft.com) to create a local administrator account and then download again.

    I await your update!

    Best Regards,
