Hello to all,

I have a laptop that have an unsual set up: it have 2 batteries. One fixed and one removable. I would like Windows to use the removable battery first, then the fixed battery. This way, I can have the fixed battery powering the laptop while I swap the removable battery. However, I couldn't find any information on how to instruct Windows use which battery first and second.

Is there any way to accomplish this? Thank you.

Okay... I'm afraid there's nothing you can do. The computer is managing the batteries by itself.

    Sorry for the inconvenience..

Thanks for the information. I had installed drivers from the manufacture and it doesn't help in setting the priority. Unfortunately Windows can't manage this either.

Hello ! I'm Aymeric, and I'm here to help.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there's no way to tell Windows which battery is the primary one. Sorry for the inconvenience :(

However, have you checked that your laptop manufacturer doesn't have a proper tool which allows precise battery settings ?

Feel free to ask if you have any other question !
