Help Needed Please! - Unable to Sign-in To Microsoft Account on Laptop/Win10 Pro/Photos Included

I received my repaired ASUS laptop after a 2-month repair delay and need to set up everything again as it was wiped. Running Windows 10 Pro. I would appreciate any help!

I am unable to sign-in to my Microsoft account. I have tried resetting both my Microsoft and local laptop passwords. When I try to sign in from settings, I am able to enter my Microsoft username, then on the next screen my Microsoft password, then on the next screen my local Windows password (I made them the same temporarily to resolve the issue, but it is still not working). After those screens, I get this message:

I have tried rebooting the computer, etc. Same message. When I try to add the device online at microsoft.com, Microsoft says to do it via Microsoft store. So, I tried that. First it told me that I had no internet connection despite being online.

Then, on one try I got this far, but it didn't last and eventually signed me out of MS Store as well:

I have also tried creating a local administrator account, but it won't let me do that either. Giving me another error message about not being signed into Microsoft.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have been 2 months without my laptop, and it has really been negatively impacting my work. I need this to work.

Thank you so much!!!

    Hello, how are you?

    My name is Paloma B., I am very happy to be able to try to help you in the best possible way.

    I understand that you are unable to add your MS account to your username.

    Try the following procedure to find out if the problem persists please.

    I created a user with the email and then move the personal files if necessary.

    1. Press Windows+I and go to Accounts > Your Information;
    2. Click Sign in with a local account;
    3. Enter your Microsoft account password, and click Next;
    4. Configure your local account and click Next.

    If this option to unsubscribe your email account does not appear, unfortunately the only option is to create a local user and copy the data from the old account to the new one.

    1. Press Windows + R keys to open the "Run" window;
    2. Copy and paste the command

    netplwiz

    and press ok;

    1. Click on the "Add" option;
    2. Enter your MS email you want to use;
    3. Go ahead and finish creating the new user with MS email;
    4. After the new profile is created, go back to the "User Accounts" screen, click on your user and then on "Properties". Select the "Group Membership" tab;
    5. Mark the profile as Administrator and click on Ok;
    6. Login with the new account;

    If necessary, copy and paste the files from the old account to the new account:

    1. Press "Windows flag" key + E to open File Explorer;
    2. In File Explorer, select "This Computer" in the left column;
    3. Under "This Computer", select "Windows (C:)";
    4. Among the presented folders, select the "Users" folder;
    5. Accessing the "Users" folder, select and access the folder with the name of your old account;
    6. Open the folders inside the folder with the name of your old account, and copy the files to your new account.

    Important: You must OPEN THE FOLDERS in your old account and COPY THE FILES to the new account, it's no use trying to copy the folders.

    After migrating your data, delete your previous user:

    1. Press Windows+R keys to open the Run window, type

    netplwiz

    and click OK;

    1. Select your previous user and click Remove.

    I await news.

    If these procedures helped you in any way, please click on "I solved my problem" and also mark as an answer, so you can help others users.

    We will always be available for whatever you need!
