Change username error

I was attempting to change my username and something has gone wrong. I tried a fix but made things worse.

The machine has 2 users, User1 (me) & User2

now I have changed my username but and can login but there are 7 user folders Public and User2 are unchanged but there are 5 user1 directories.

DirName Contents

1, Old username Empty folder

2, New username AppData (corrupt)

3, New username.Hostname My original files

4, TEMP My Original files

5,TEMP.Hostname My Original Files

I think my original error was caused by changing my username in Registry - ProfileList while loged into my account not as Adminintrator. Is there a way out?

Took the bull by the horns, deleted the user and all the directories, created a new user using the Administrator account and all is working normally,
