Microsoft Email will only send when restart computer

I use the Microsoft Mail that came already loaded on my new PC that I purchased December 2021. The only way I can get emails to send is to restart the computer. Also I have an email that is "stuck" in the outbox and will not be deleted (press delete, it disappears and then reappears a few seconds later).

-Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

If it's a problem with the Windows Mail app, let's solve it:

Settings > apps > apps & features > find the Mail & Calendar app in the list > click the three dots > advanced options > Repair. If it still doesn't work, click Restore.

If the problem persists, I suggest that you test in another email account to make sure that the problem is not with your account.

Graciously,

Claudeir

Thank you so much Claudeir - success! I can now send an email without having to restart the computer. I'm still not able to delete the message with a red cross next to it but that's not a big issue. Thanks again....Caroline
