Data lost during restart

I upgraded to Windows 11 In Nov. Since then, every time I upgrade and restart my computer, I lose any data files I've updated or created in the last month. This happens in every program from Excel, Outlook, Quicken, Quickbooks , etc. Any ideas?

Microsoft Account is using email account like @outlook.com while the Microsoft Account is just a normal username.

Try open start and search for cmd or Command prompt and right click and run it as administrator and then type the following command:

    sfc /scannow

Press enter and let it runs.

I do not get an error message. I'm using a local account (I assume, not sure what the difference is)? Everything restarts normally but when pull up a file that I just updated yesterday, it shows it was last updated 12/15.

Are you seeing any error message?

Are you using Local Account or Microsoft Account?
