windows 10 error code 0xc1900201

i cant play battlefield 2042 because i need to update windows. so i went setings>update and security> windows update. and it says there,,

i'm on win version 1903

"2020-12 Cumulative Update for windows 10 version 1903 for x64 based systems (KB4592449)"

this update gets to 20% then stops, and ultimately fails every time. (error code 0x800f0988)

I've also tried the windows 10 update assisstant and it says my pc specs tick the green circles . it downloads the update and installs it but when it tries to scan my pc it fails and says

"your pc can't run windows,

you cant install windows on a usb flash drive using setup" error code 0xc1900201

    If you have problems in a Windows update, follow these steps: If you have a third-party antivirus, you will need to remove it.

    You can update manually, just download the updated ISO.

    When updating with the ISO, disconnect the Internet.
